On October 17th, reporters from Yangcheng Evening News visited the canton Fair Design Award (cF Award) exhibition area of the 136th canton Fair, gaining insight from product designers about the design concepts and aesthetic philosophies behind the award-winning products, experiencing the “warmth” of chinese intelligent manufacturing that overseas buyers can tangibly feel.
The exhibition area of the CF Award
CF Award was established in 2013 to recognize chinese export products with outstanding design value, encouraging companies to enhance their R&D and innovation capabilities. Some award-winning works from previous years have been displayed in the National Archives of Publications and culture.
This exhibition area serves as a leading-edge platform showcasing “Intelligent Manufacturing in China” to the global market, featuring hundreds of cutting-edge products that combine both design and commercial value, highlighting the beauty of technology and industrial design.
The Warmth of Human Care
The Lingkong K3, a high-altitude curtain wall cleaning robot developed by a company in Huangpu District, guangzhou, won the top honor, the cF Gold Award, demonstrating the warmth of human care behind its creation.
Huang Junsheng, general Manager of Lingdu Intelligent, explained: “In terms of appearance design, the Lingkong K3 cleverly integrates bionics, drawing inspiration from spiders. The streamlined and dynamic shape symbolizes the harmonious coexistence of future technology and nature, conveying the product’s vision of ‘using technology to change the traditional high-risk work of spider-men.'”
The robot’s limb design is particularly unique, inspired by the flexible leg structure of spiders. It adopts a fusion perception strategy, enabling the robot to handle the complex work environment of high-altitude curtain walls with ease, significantly improving operational efficiency and adaptability. The color scheme of blue, black, and orange is also carefully selected: blue represents technology and innovation, black symbolizes stability and reliability, and orange adds vitality and visibility.

Another key highlight of the Lingkong K3 is its eco-friendly, low-energy consumption design. Its water circulation system, combined with a wastewater filtration and recovery system, prevents secondary pollution to glass surfaces and greenery from chemical additives. With just eight liters of water, the robot can operate for 12 hours, and two batteries can clean one side of a 100-meter building, with a daily cleaning capacity of1200-2000m, which is three times that of manual labor. The design and innovation of technological products continue to progress with warmth.
Another Gold Award winner, the Brainco intelligent dexterous hand, also allows foreign buyers to feel the warmth of “Intelligent Manufacturing in China.”
With innovative breakthroughs in technology and performance, brainco chose to significantly lower the product’s price, combining social responsibility with its business to further promote technology for the disabled and pursue socially responsible business practices. Their goal is to provide opportunities for underprivileged individuals with disabilities to change their lives with their own hands.
BrainCo intelligent dexterous hand
The Brainco intelligent dexterous hand is an advanced product that integrates brain-computer interface technology with AI algorithms. By detecting the wearer’s neural and muscle signals, it recognizes their intended movements and translates them into actions of the intelligent bionic hand, allowing it to precisely “guess” the brain’s intentions and enabling fine motor control of each finger. This results in dexterity and intelligence, as the hand moves as naturally as intended.
From the same company, the Brainco M3 intelligent dexterous leg won the cF Gold Award. The price of the bionic leg has been reduced to one-fifth to one-seventh that of imported equivalents, making it possible for millions of disabled individuals to afford one.
The Warmth of Traditional Culture
“Amazing!” exclaimed a foreign buyer representative as he marveled at the level of chinese technological production presented in the exhibition areaof thecF Award.
Thanks to the introduction by on-site interpreters, malik, a buyer from Pakistan, experienced the warmth of “Intelligent Manufacturing in china”—in his case, the warmth of traditional moxibustion therapy.
Foreign buyers experiencing the massage chair
According to Li Zhiyu, an on-site staff member,”By just midday, the exhibition area had attracted over a thousand visitors, with massage chairs being one of the most popular products among buyers.”
The Gold Award-winning massage chair, Model SL-A801, combines graphene heat technology with built-in moxa packs, perfectly integrating traditional chinese medicine culture into its product design.
Zhou Lingwei, president of iRest Health Technology co., ltd., explained the design concept,”By utilizing large curves, we shaped the product into a smooth and full form. The restrained design expression conveys our sincerity and friendly attitude toward users.”
The Warmth of Eastern Aesthetics
A bright yellow item in the exhibition area is the Maritime Silk Road suite, a Gold Award-winning product. Its design is inspired by the 10th anniversary of the “Belt and Road” Initiative. The scarf adopts the latest digital double-sided same-color printing technology, with hand-rolled edges.
Maritime Silk Road suite
The porcelain set comes from Nanjing, Jiangsu, and features a delicate texture, with the floral pattern on the porcelain matching that of the scarf. Silk and porcelain are classic symbols of the Silk Road, with compass and ship patterns on the ceramic teacup. The deep and unique charm of chinese culture is fully displayed on this road that crosses mountains and seas, connecting the world.
Another set of twelve scarves featuring floral patterns also attracted many overseas buyers. Upon closer inspection, each scarf integrates traditional chinese floral painting techniques, while the colors of the rolled edges represent the twelve traditional colors of the chinese lunar calendar, one color for each month, delivering a sense of romanticism and ultimate oriental beauty.
Flower Series Scarves for the Twelve Months
Hou Falan, the designer of the “Flower Series Scarves for the Twelve Months,” said: “The floral elements were re-created based on the work of the famous 19th-century painter Shen Zhenlin, combining the beauty of flower deities from the legends of each month. Printed on pure silk satin, with flowers like plum blossoms, orchids, and apricot blossoms, these scarves reflect the literati’s admiration of flowers’ temperament.” the scarves use eco-friendly dyeing technology and exquisite hand-rolled edges, allowing international visitors to appreciate the elegance of oriental aesthetics.
