Saudi Arabia is building a 136-kilometre Aseer-Jazan highway and is bidding for it.
The General Directorate of Roads (RGA) of Saudi Arabia, in collaboration with the National Centre for Privatization and PPP (NCP) and the Aseer Development Authority, has announced the launch of the Letter of Intent (EOI) phase of the Aseer-Jazan Expressway project.
The tender aims to attract top-notch road construction companies to ensure that the project provides the highest efficiency, service and traffic safety.
Saudi Arabia announces 30-year road contract
The 136-kilometre highway runs from the Al Fara area in Aseer to the Red Sea coast, passing through Jazan with three lanes in each direction.
There are 6 intersections, 57 bridges with a total length of 18 kilometers and 11 tunnels with a total length of 9.2 kilometers.
The project was tendered using a Design-Build-Finance-Operate-Maintain (DBFOM) model with a contract period of 30 years.
RGA and NCP invite local and international investors interested in road construction to learn about the project by visiting the NCP website and reviewing the Expression of Interest (EOI) document on the project page.
All interested companies should submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) by 3 p.m. on March 19.
