
On March 18, the 2025 Hong Kong Spring Reception and the Promotion Conference for the 137th Canton Fair were successfully held in Hong Kong. The event was co-hosted by the China Foreign Trade Centre and the Trade Department of the Economic Affairs Division of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Zhang Sihong, Deputy Director of the China Foreign Trade Centre; Zhou Qiang, Deputy Director-General of the Economic Affairs Department and Head of the Trade Division of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in Hong Kong; Ernard Chan, Under Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development of the Hong Kong SAR Government; Cai Guanshen, President of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong; Filippo Monti, Managing Director of Germany’s Qunfu Company; and Li Guoming, President of the Hong Kong Infant and Young Child Products Association, attended the event and delivered speeches. The event was attended by representatives from the Hong Kong Industry Department, six major Hong Kong business chambers, 21 foreign chambers of commerce, 17 leading multinational corporations, members of the Hong Kong Legislative Council, exhibition industry peers, and media representatives, totaling over 260 participants.

The Foreign Trade Center expressed sincere gratitude to the Hong Kong business community for their long-standing support of the Canton Fair and provided a comprehensive overview of the 137th session of the event. They expressed hope that Hong Kong’s business institutions and multinational leading enterprises would organize more buyers and members to attend and make purchases. The attendees responded enthusiastically, unanimously agreeing to further deepen their collaboration with the Canton Fair to promote high-quality trade development in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
During its stay in Hong Kong, the China Foreign Trade Centre also paid visits to the Trade Division of the Economic Affairs Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in Hong Kong, the American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, and Germany’s Qunfu Company, among other organizations.
