
On March 5th, the promotion event for the 137th Canton Fair in Austria was successfully held in Vienna. Approximately 65 representatives from local government trade promotion departments, business associations, enterprises, and media attended the event.
Liu Xiaomin, Exhibition Director of China Foreign Trade Centre Group Co., Ltd., stated that the Canton Fair is a vital window for China’s opening-up and a crucial platform for international trade, with its development receiving strong support from the global business and trade community. The 137th Canton Fair will continue to offer high-quality exhibitors and exhibits, diverse supporting events, and comprehensive attendee services. Austrian business professionals are warmly invited to participate, explore cooperation opportunities, and seize global business prospects.
The event was attended and addressed by Meng Fanzhuang, Economic and Commercial Counselor at the Chinese Embassy in Austria; Christoph Matznetter, Vice President of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, along with Head of Asia Department Esther Maca; Georg Zanger, President of the Austria-China Business Association; Markus Hanzl, Head of the Marketing Department of the Vienna Chamber of Commerce; and Zhang Zhuo, General Manager of HNA Vienna Office.

During their stay in Austria, the working group engaged in discussions with the Economic and Commercial Office of the Chinese Embassy in Austria, the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, the Austria-China Business Association, the Austrian Ministry of Economy, and the European High-Tech Innovation Association on topics such as promotion and marketing, delegation participation, supply-demand matchmaking, and market expansion. They also conducted a field study at an XXXLutz store to gain insights into its latest procurement needs, experiences, and suggestions regarding participation in the fair, and extended an invitation to attend supply-demand matchmaking events.
