
On February 24, the promotional event for the 137th Canton Fair was successfully held in Lagos, Nigeria. Jin Mingyu, Deputy Consul General of the Chinese Consulate General in Lagos, Bolaji, Director of the Economic and Trade Department of the Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Idahosa, President of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, attended and delivered speeches. More than 180 representatives from local enterprises in the machinery equipment and electronic consumer goods industries, as well as media representatives, participated in the event.

Xu Jiansheng, the Operations Director of China Foreign Trade Centre Group Co., Ltd., introduced the basic information and significant role of the Canton Fair. He stated that since its inception, the Canton Fair has consistently maintained vigorous vitality. The upcoming 137th Canton Fair, to be held this spring, will showcase more highlights in terms of thematic structure, exhibitor quality, exhibited products, and service experiences. Additionally, the Canton Fair APP will facilitate more efficient participation and exhibition attendance.
Jin Mingyu expressed that proactive measures will be taken in areas such as exhibition consultation, visa facilitation, and communication feedback to ensure that that those who wish to attend the Canton Fair will be able to do so and achieve success. Representatives from local business institutions stated that they would organize a larger delegation of enterprises to participate in the 137th Canton Fair.
During their stay in Lagos, the working group also conducted research on the electronic consumer goods market at Computer Village Technology Market Ikeja, the large chain supermarket ShopRite, and the Volkswagen Overseas Warehouse.
