On January 17, the promotion event for the 137th Canton Fair was successfully held in Vientiane, Laos, with approximately 150 representatives from local trade promotion departments, business organizations, and enterprises in attendance. The event garnered attention and coverage from mainstream media outlets such as Lao National Television, Laos News Daily, and Lao National Radio.

At the Promotion Event
Su Bin, Deputy Secretary-General of the Canton Fair and Deputy Director of the China Foreign Trade Centre, stated that the Canton Fair, known as the “No. 1 Exhibition in China,” provides a vast platform for trade exchange and friendly interactions among enterprises from various countries. The 137th Canton Fair will continue to optimize its exhibition themes, enhance product quality, enrich supporting activities, and improve service levels. He emphasized that the launch of the Canton Fair APP marks a significant milestone in the development of the fair’s online platform, offering comprehensive support for buyers, including online matchmaking and negotiation, as well as offline itinerary management. This will significantly enhance the overall experience and outcomes for participants. He warmly encouraged buyers to download and utilize the APP.

Meeting with the Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry
Thanousone Phonamat, Vice President of the Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Chansamone Sisaath, Deputy Director-General of the Trade Promotion Department of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce of Laos, Han Ye, First Secretary of the Economic and Commercial Office at the Chinese Embassy in Laos, Liu Jian, Deputy General Manager of the Vientiane Branch of the Bank of China, and others attended the meeting and delivered speeches.

Field Research on Sky Supermarket Group
During the visit to Vientiane, the working group held in-depth discussions with the Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the China Chamber of Commerce in Laos and others on topics such as promoting the Canton Fair and enhancing China-Laos economic and trade cooperation. The working group also conducted on-site research at Sky Supermarket Group, a well-known local retail enterprise.
