
On February 17, the promotion event for the 137th Canton Fair was successfully held in Mexico. Approximately 100 representatives from local business organizations and enterprises attended the event, which garnered attention and coverage from mainstream media outlets such as Xinhua News Agency and Bloomberg.

Zhang Sihong, Deputy Director of the China Foreign Trade Centre, stated that the 137th Canton Fair will be held in Guangzhou on April 15. This session of the fair will further optimize and improve in terms of exhibition themes, exhibitor products, trade promotion activities, and attendee services. He invited Mexican enterprises to utilize the app for early online registration, publish procurement demands, plan their visit ahead , and improve procurement efficiency to achieve more trade deals.

Zhu Jian, Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of the Chinese Embassy in Mexico`, César Fragozo, Vice President of the Mexico-China Technology and Commerce Chamber, Shi Yuewen, Director of the Chinese Cultural Center in Mexico, Zhou Shengyu, General Manager of ICBC International Mexico, He Feng, Director of Southern Airlines Mexico, Li Jingshi, Director of GAC Group Mexico, and Andres Simg, a long-time participant of the Canton Fair, attended the event and delivered speeches.

During their stay in Mexico, the working group engaged in discussions with the Economic and Commercial Office of the Chinese Embassy in Mexico, the Mexico-China Cultural Center, Bank of China Mexico, the Guangdong Chamber of Commerce, Oriental Yuhong, and others regarding cooperation in areas such as promotion, organizing delegations to participate in the fair, co-hosting overseas promotion events, and supplier-buyer matchmaking. They also conducted on-site research at Coppel Group, one of the top 250 global retailers, to understand their latest procurement needs and invited them to participate in the regular “Trade Bridge” matchmaking events.
